Instagram on Monday (21/11/2016) launched several new features, which can be exploited by users to broadcast live video and upload photos or videos ephemeral - content immediately disappear after the visits.
The first feature, Live Video will complement Stories Instagram features that have been launched since last August. With this new feature, Instagram users can publish and broadcast video activities or events around you directly.
How to use this feature is quite easy. You just need to move feed to the right to open the camera, then press the "Start Live Video", and start sharing your moments directly. The duration of this video is restricted to only one hour.
This feature is similar to Facebook Live or Twitter's Periscope. What is different is, live video can only be seen on Instagram really directly. In other words, Instagram does not save the live video that can not be seen after the show ends.
The second is the content ephmeral which is the addition to the features of Instagram Direct. With this feature you can send videos or photos directly to friends or groups on Instagram Direct.
After a photo or video was viewed by the intended person, then it will automatically disappear.
However, as revealed CNNMoney, Instagram itself still save the ephemeral contents for a certain time, in order to evaluate if there are reports of violations of the other party or the competent authority.
The second feature is scheduled to be enjoyed by hundreds of millions of users Instagram in the world in the coming week.
