After OnePlus 2 present in the market and supported by the USB connector Type-C, now several smartphone vendors have started to switch to the connector. One of them is ASUS through their flagship smartphone lines are likely to be introduced next year, namely ZenFone 3.
The existence of Type-C USB connector on ZenFone 3 confirmed directly by the CEO of ASUS, Jonney Shih. Through interviews with TrustedReviews, Jonney revealed that Asus Zenfone 3 will use the USB connector Type-C.
Jonney said, "I think USB Type-C is the best way as the connector of the future and you will see the answer through our products, ZenFone 3". As we know, Asus Zenfone 2 was introduced in the first quarter of this year. Jonney also participated stating why ZenFone 2 is not accompanied USB Type-C, he said that it requires more funds.
"Every penny is important, but we never just think of the cost alone. We always think about the cost and value at the same time. So I think it is more to the problem of time, and we hope it can make us a little ahead ", said Jonney.
About USB Type-C, the latest connector which is predicted as a future connector standard connector is the latest that is claimed to have a versatile function to move data, video output, recharging and even an external power device.
